The World Series: Wall Street vs Main Street

The Yankees epitomize everything that is wrong with society, they are in my opinion the Wall Street of the MLB. While small market teams suffer, trim payrolls and trade marquee players the Yankees would get better by just staying constant, but with their economic advantage they further the gap by having the highest payroll in the league. Just like Wall Street is getting bailed by the government the officials that called the Yankees games did everything to ensure they made it to the World Series. I mean God forbid the new stadium and its over priced seats aren’t available to people in pinstriped suits in late October.  The whole thing is very American: greed and gluttony.

The Philadelphia Phillies are the folks from the other side of the tracks. Philly is a working city with working chumps just like you and me, except they are a bit crazy when it comes to sports. Normally I’d never pull for a city that hurls ice balls and boos at Santa Claus, throws D batteries at opposing players or cheers when Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field, but that’s how much I despise the Yankees. I only hate the Red Sox more. I want Philly to find the below fan in video, recruit him, give in him beer and turn him loose in Game 3.
